City of Normandy Park Seeking Park Commissioners

The City of Normandy Park is currently seeking residents to serve on its Board of Park Commissioners.

The city “encourages all citizens to consider involving themselves actively in city government by serving on a City Board or Commission.”

Park Board meetings are held on the third Wednesday of every month at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall. The seven-member board was created to advise the City Council on matters regarding the expansion and operation of City parks and recreation programs. The Volunteer Park Board members are appointed by the Mayor, with consent of the City Council, on the basis of their demonstrated interest in or their knowledge and support of the business of the City (NPMC 2.24).

Applications are available at City Hall, and will be emailed or mailed upon request by calling 206-248-7603. Applications are also available by clicking here (PDF file).

Contact Debbie Burke, City Clerk at 206-248-8248 for further information.
