Shane Ryan Chamberlain, 22, was arraigned Monday morning (Feb. 10), and entered a ‘Not Guilty’ plea to murder and assault charges for the alleged fatal shooting of Philip Hamlin, a 96-year-old man on Jan. 25 in Normandy Park.
Chamberlain is also accused of a crowbar attack on the man’s granddaughter.
The defendant is charged with Murder in the First Degree with a firearm enhancement and Assault in the First Degree with a deadly weapon.
The defendant remains in jail with bail set at $2 million.
A case setting hearing is scheduled for Feb. 24 at the Norm Maleng Regional Justice Center.
