Missing foreign currency? Police arrest vehicle prowl suspect with lots of cash


Thursday morning (Jan. 15), around 12:30 a.m., Normandy Park Police Officer Norris arrested a white male in the 1200 block of SW Shorebrook Drive with a large amount of foreign currency on him, and police are looking for victims.

“When he was searched incident to arrest, a hammer was discovered on his person,” police said. “Along with the hammer were several bills of foreign currency.”

The currency was from Indonesia, China, Philippines, Hong King, Ghana, Bahamas, England and Germany.

The man was arrested on a warrant out of Issaquah.

Police are interested in finding out if this person could be tied to any vehicle prowls in the area.
