Prolific Normandy Park identity thief sentenced to 68 months

The Normandy Park Police Department announced a plea deal with the King County Prosecutor’s Office for one of their recent arrests for Identity Theft:

Holbert, Branchina R. 11/02/72 was arrested and booked by Normandy Park Officers back in December for ID Theft, Theft 2, Obstructing, Resisting, and Making False Statements. Holbert was under investigation for stealing the identity of a Bainbridge Island resident and a resident of Seattle. Our Department received information from these victims, that the suspect in their cases lived in Normandy Park. Detective Hedrick conducted follow-up and found that not only was Holbert stealing thousands of dollars in property under the names of these victims, she had also been living at the Manhattan Apartments for almost 3 months under a stolen identity. Holbert is an 18 time felon with almost 50 aliases.

On February 25th, Holbert plead guilty and was sentenced to 68 months in prison.

Great job to Detective Hedrick, Officer John Lievero, Officer Dave Unger and Officer Dan Will for their outstanding work. Identity Theft and Fraud is a constant concern and we take these investigations very seriously. This is a big win for the local community to have this person behind bars for a very long time.

More info available in a SeattlePI.com story from 2011 about this suspect.
