King County Metro happy with high response to recent transportation survey

King County Metro staff held the first of several “Community Connections” stakeholder group meetings at Normandy Park City Hall on Nov. 8, to help determine user needs and preferences for alternative transit services.

Metro staff also will attend next week’s City Council meeting to present a status report on the Normandy Park pilot project.

A primary objective of the pilot project is to provide Normandy Park residents and workers with better access to and from the new Link Light Rail Station at Angle Lake. The problem with public transit is often the ‘last mile’ connection. This project can alleviate that gap if enough people participate in the process.

“By the way, Metro staff commented on the unusually high response rate to the recent survey mailed to all Normandy Park households,” City Manager Mark Hoppen said.
