Volunteers are needed for a Miller Creek Trail Work Party on Saturday, March 31!

Miller Creek Trail

The Miller Creek Trail in Burien provides important recreational opportunity and valuable fish and wildlife habitat. Join us for a few hours next Saturday, March 31st, to help enhance your local park by removing invasive plants to benefit native trees & shrubs.

WHAT: We will remove invasive species – including Himalayan Blackberry and Scotch Broom. We plan to plant the site with native trees and shrubs in the fall.

WHEN: Saturday, March 31st, 9:30 a.m. -12:30 p.m.

Future dates include May 17th, July 21st, Oct. 27th and December 8th.

WHERE: Miller Creek Trail, 14455 Des Moines Memorial Drive in Burien. Parking available on the northwest side of Des Memorial Drive across the street from the Des Moines Way Self Storage.

WHAT TO BRING:

  • Filled water bottle and gloves if you have them
  • Rain gear, layers and sturdy shoes

No experience necessary. Training, tools and snacks provided!
