Recycling Collection Event coming to John Knox Church Saturday, May 19

A Recycling Collection Event will be held on Saturday, May 19, 2018, from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. at John Knox Presbyterian Church.

In addition to recycling, Rain Barrel, Compost, and Worm Bins will be sold for $25 each. Cash only, and while supplies last.

“To encourage the use of recycled content material and more ef cient use of water, the cities of Burien and Normandy Park are offering recycled plastic rain barrels at a huge discount. In addition, start backyard composting with a compost bin to save resources and money. Composting is a natural process that turns yard waste into rich soil. Yard waste contains mostly water. Once the material decomposes, rich soil is all that’s left.

Worm composting is an efficient way to convert kitchen scraps into nutrient-rich compost for your garden. Simple to assemble and can be stored in or outside. Made in the U.S.A. and constructed from high quality recycled plastic.”
