Environmental Science Center’s Seaside Soirée fundraiser will be Sat., March 2

Dive in to support local students at the Environmental Science Center’s 10th annual Seaside Soirée fundraiser on Saturday, March 2!

This event will be held at the Normandy Park Cove Community Club (map below).

Celebrate how more than 6,000 King County students received experimental environmental education from the Environmental Science Center (ESC) last year and help them plan for another successful season outside. Patrons can enjoy dinner, drinks, games and raffles to benefit local outdoor education on Saturday, March 2, from 5 – 8:30 p.m. at the Normandy Park Cove.

The Cove is nestled between Miller and Walker Creeks, where ESC Salmon Heroes students have field studies in the fall. Keynote speaker James Rasmussen of Duwamish River Cleanup Coalition will share his knowledge of indigenous tribes, salmon recovery, and the work happening at ESC. Madre’s Kitchen will serve their signature Mediterranean cuisine and a lively dessert dash will round out the evening with sweets and comradery.

The night will begin with a cocktail hour that includes raffles and chances to nab high-end bottles, such as Dom Pérignon. Attendees can try their hands and minds at carnival-style environmental stations, testing their knowledge and funny bones with the naturalists who make ESC programs possible. Come to connect with friends and make some new ones as ESC celebrates this supportive community. Proceeds from this event will support environmental education that is critically needed for local students and local landscapes. Let nature teach today!

Tickets are $75 per person and can be purchased online at www.envsciencecenter.org/seaside-soiree.

Donations are also taken in lieu of attendance – click here: www.bit.ly/ESCDonation
