Firefighters from King County Fire District 2 and Puget Sound Fire responded to a two-alarm house fire early Friday morning in the 18500 block of Normandy Terrace SW.

The fire, which was reported around 3:31 a.m. Friday, had extended into the home’s roof structure, which contained rigid foam insulation.

Crews used chainsaws to cut into the roof and access the fire for extinguishment.

According to dispatch records, more than a dozen units were deployed, including multiple engines, ladders, and support teams.

It took firefighters over 90 minutes to fully knock down the flames and eliminate hotspots.

No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.

King County Medic One and Zone 3 Fire Cadets also responded to assist at the scene.
