A celebration of all things furry, feathered, and finned is coming to the Normandy Park Organic Farmer’s Market this Sunday, Aug. 10, 2025, from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Pet Day brings together animal lovers for a lighthearted event filled with contests, education, and local giveaways.
All residents are invited to bring their fur babies and fin/winged/other babies to participate!
The community-wide event will feature fun categories like “Cutest Pet and Owner Combo,” “Most Unique Pet,” “Longest Floppy Ears,” “Shortest Tail,” and “Best Pet Smile — or Grumpy Face.”
Organizers say the goal is to include pets of all kinds, not just dogs.
Local businesses have donated prizes for contest winners, including a month’s supply of pet food, a free vet exam, grooming services, and other pet-friendly goodies.
SR3 (Sealife Response, Rehabilitation and Research) will also be on site with an educational booth to share their work supporting marine wildlife. The group will host a fundraiser during the event to raise money for its rehabilitation efforts.
Pet Day is open to all ages and encourages attendees to bring their pets, dress up for the look-alike contest, and celebrate the bond between humans and animals.
