For 15 years, the Exchange Club of Highline has worked to “wipe” out a vital supply shortage often overlooked by food banks and state assistance programs — toilet paper.

This weekend, members of the club will hold its annual Toilet Paper Drive, collecting donations of both T.P. and money at two local grocery stores:

  • Saturday, Sept. 13, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Burien Fred Meyer
  • Sunday, Sept. 14, 8:30–4:30 p.m. at the Normandy Park QFC

“Families on state assistance cannot buy toilet paper with their funds, and food banks are not supplied with paper products,” said co-chairs Jim and Donna Dowdell. “You can make a difference in our community.”

The drive accepts both toilet paper and monetary contributions. Donations will help area food banks supply families in need with essential products.

The club is also accepting donations now for the upcoming holiday season, which can be made online at www.exchangeclubofhighline.com or by scanning this QR code:
