DESCRIPTION:Thomas Jefferson once said: \n“We do not have government by the majority. We have government by the majority who participate.” \nThe Seattle Southside Chamber of Commerce invites all to participate on Wednesday\, Sept. 25 during a “Meet the Candidates and Elected Officials Night.” This will be an opportunity for you and other community members to meet candidates and other elected officials in local city council and Port of Seattle elections. \nAll members of the community are invited to the non-partisan\, non-sectional and non-sectarian event that has been hosted by the Chamber of Commerce for more than 30 years. Doors will open at the DoubleTree Southcenter in Tukwila at 5:00 p.m. and the event will begin at 5:30 p.m. and end at 8:00 p.m. \nThe forum provides all elected officials and candidates in the November Election with the opportunity to engage as well as meet and greet.
