A Black Lives Matter Silent March will be held this Friday, June 12, 2020 in Normandy Park.
The march is set to start near the Cove Community Club (map below) at 4 p.m., and walk to Normandy Park City Hall.
Organizers will join with others across the state in a silent march to honor and mourn the victims of police brutality and institutional racism.
-
- Please wear masks, practice social distancing, bring signs, and wear black clothing.
- We will gather near the Cove and walk to City Hall.
- Please respect the silent, peaceful nature of this march. The purpose is not to make demands, but to remember and grieve for victims.
- Please carpool or walk to the Cove if possible, and do not go near the Community Club building.
“Thank you!”
We honor our NPPD for their years of service in keeping our community safe. This march is so much more than a celebration of African American lives; my understanding is that anarchy, hatred and violence follows Black Lives Matter. I suggest a PRAYER RALLY with a call for personal repentance and forgiveness. And possibly a volunteer crew to clean up the graffiti recently painted all over Seattle. We are a mixed race family, and we will not be joining this march.
