City Manager’s Report for week ending Mar. 25, 2022

Volunteer for a Passenger-Flow Simulation at SeaTac Airport
In advance of the new International Arrivals Facility (IAF) opening at the SeaTac Airport, there’s a fun opportunity to get a first glimpse of this fantastic building by being a volunteer “passenger”!

Every new Sea-Tac Airport facility gets tested with passenger processing simulations by its Operational, Readiness, Activation, and Transition (ORAT) Team, and the IAF is no exception. The ORAT team is looking for a group of 400 people who have NOT been through this facility to participate in the Passenger-Flow Simulation. This fun event is one of the critical milestones to validate that the new facility and staff are fully functional and ready for opening day. The IAF is nearing completion, so this is an exercise to test processes, procedures, staff familiarity, wayfinding, and amenities before opening.

This event has been scheduled for Saturday, April 9th. If you are interested, please start by visiting the Volunteer Registration Link to sign up. Be sure to have a valid driver’s license or government issue ID ready. All participants must be fully vaccinated and will be asked to provide proof of vaccination at check-in for the event. The ORAT team will vet all the applicants who meet the requirements and the right demographic mix. Please note that registration for this opportunity will close after the first 400 people sign up.
