The annual 4th of July Parade is returning in 2023, and with it will come a temporary road closure on Tuesday, July 4, along Marine View Drive SW from Marvista Elementary to the Cove.

The road closure will last from 10:20 – 11:50 a.m. approximately, according to the Normandy Park Police Department.

“This is to allow for the safety of all participants.

“Please be patient and plan accordingly!”

Fireworks Reminder

Fireworks can only be discharged within the city of Normandy Park from 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. on the 3rd of July and from 4:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. on the 4th of July.

Fireworks can only be lit on your own property or with the permission of the property owner. You CAN NOT light off fireworks in any parks, streets, or public right of ways.

Any violation is a misdemeanor with a mandatory court appearance. For the full rules and regulations see Chapter 7.32 of the Normandy Park Municipal Code.

“Please be extremely careful – make sure you have a bucket of water nearby and supervise your children anytime they are around fireworks,” police said.
