Normandy Park City Manager’s Report for week ending Mar. 1, 2024

Normandy Park Housing Survey Live

Help Us Look Ahead to Normandy Park in 2044! Communities across Washington state are continuing their journeys through the 2024 Comprehensive Plan Update. The Normandy Park 2044: Housing Survey presents an opportunity for community residents to give us their insights on the topic of housing, issues of residency, affordability, economic displacement, and our role in the region. Answers will be used to envision housing options in Normandy Park that are assets to the community, comforting to long-time residents, and welcoming to new families and individuals.

Surveys are also available in Spanish. For more information on the Periodic Update, please visit Normandy Park 2044 to stay informed and ways to engage.

Thank You for Supporting the Recent Coffee with the Cop

On Tuesday, February 27th, five Police Departments (Seatac, Burien, Des Moines, Tukwila, Normandy Park) joined together to host a coffee with a cop event at the Normandy Park Starbucks.  This event was unique in the number of Departments participating and the opportunity for community members to talk with police officers throughout the region.  Nearly forty different officers participated in the event, including five from Normandy Park. Thank you for your support; it was a terrific turnout. Here are some pictures from the event.

A Walk With Plants

Back by popular demand.  On Sunday, March 17th, from 10:00 am to noon, come along for a saunter through Normandy Park’s pristine green spaces to identify and learn about our medicinal and herbal plants. This is a free event, but pre-registration is required. This popular program has limited space, so register now to secure your spot.

Still Time to take the Citizen Satisfaction Survey

Thank you to all the residents who have taken the time to complete the 2024 Citizen Satisfaction Survey. We have received some fantastic feedback, but we want to hear from more of you.
