As the 4th of July approaches, the Friends of Normandy Park Foundation released some updates on how to participate in the annual Independence Day parade and post-parade festival.
The parade will kick off at 10:25 a.m., with participants gathering at Marvista Elementary at 9:45 a.m.
Friends of Normandy Park Foundation will be marching with banners, throwing candy, and waving mini flags. Those interested can also ride in a horse-drawn wagon.
Following the parade, the festivities will continue at The Cove, where the Foundation will have a booth offering fun, patriotic prizes. Community members are encouraged to stop by and say hello.
The Foundation is seeking a $400 sponsorship for the horse and wagon. Sponsors will be acknowledged on social media and at the festival.
“Happy summer and hope to see you on July 4th!” said Susan West, President of the Friends of Normandy Park Foundation.
