UPDATE: The Kids Day and Family Movie Night event scheduled for this Friday night, Aug. 23, 2024, at Highline SeaTac Botanical Garden has been canceled due to the possibility of rain and adverse weather conditions, organizers announced.

The free event was set to feature family-friendly activities, including games, crafts, bouncy houses, and a screening of the movie Monsters Inc.

The National Weather Service’s prediction for Friday night is:

“Showers likely. Cloudy, with a low around 55. South wind 9 to 13 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New precipitation amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible.”

Organizers expressed disappointment, but emphasized that the safety and comfort of attendees are their top priority.

No information has yet been released about rescheduling the event at this time, but stay tuned to The Blog as we’ll publish an update if/when it’s rescheduled.
