Normandy Park City Manager’s Report for week ending Jan. 31. 2025
2025 City Goals are being developed
On Saturday, January 25th, the City Council held its Annual Retreat to establish the 2025 City Goals. This meeting allows the City Council and staff to come together to determine what the City should focus on in the coming year.
Are you interested in what the City Council is discussing? Here is a summary of the 2025 goals that are being developed.
- Evaluate City Hall and create a long-term plan for the building.
- Identify safety improvements needed on 1st Avenue and work to find funding for these projects.
- Focus on Community Engagement that will bring the community together.
- Improve Communications with the Public.
- Update the City’s Emergency Management Plan and provide educational opportunities for the public to learn more about emergency planning.
- Increase the City’s efforts in Legislative Advocacy.
- Work on improving and building the City’s Recreational Facilities.
These goals will be discussed and finalized in February. Stay tuned for more details about the work plan and timeline for accomplishing these goals.
EV Stations installed at City Hall Park
The City now has two EV (electric vehicle) Chargers operational at City Hall. These chargers, funded through a grant from PSE, are open to the public and are ready for use. There is a charge for using, so you will need the EV Connect App before you connect. Instructions on how to download the app and how to use it can be found at the charging stations. You can find the chargers in the parking area next to City Hall.
