A Japan Airlines plane collided with a parked Delta Air Lines aircraft on a taxi line at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport Wednesday morning, Feb. 5, 2025, SEA announced.

The incident occurred at approximately 10:17 a.m. between the S Concourse and the south maintenance hangars, according to the Port of Seattle.

The taxiing Japan Airlines aircraft (flight JAL 68) reportedly struck the tail of the parked Delta plane (flight DL 1921-DC).

No injuries have been reported.

SEA operations, along with Port of Seattle Fire and Police, responded to the scene.

Passengers aboard the Japan Airlines flight are being safely deplaned and transported to the terminal.

“There is minimal impact to airport operations as this occurred on a taxi lane,” the Port of Seattle said in a statement. “Passengers are encouraged to check with their airlines if they are flying today.”

The cause of the collision is under investigation.
