Sunday Brunch comes to Marina Mercantile!

Marina Mercantile in Des Moines started with a simple vision of serving the community as a gathering place and source of delicious food and wine. In the last two and half years of listening to customers, that’s led to all sorts of changes – greatly expanded lunch and dinner offerings, a full bar featuring Des Moines’ only craft cocktails, their much-loved Afternoon Tea service, even Mingo!  

And now it’s time for a Sunday Brunch – Merc Style (check out the menu here). That means made-to-order breakfast sandwiches on house-made English muffins, savory egg specials like Bacon and Red Pepper Strata, classic Continental Breakfast offerings featuring cheese and charcuterie, and the Merc’s delicious sweet treats, from Cinnamon Rolls to Muffins. Of course, there’s a Mercantile Mary with Washington-made Vodka, and some delicious Mimosas and Bellinis, too.

AND…that Afternoon Tea we hear so much about is also available as Sunday Tea with advance reservations.

“This is all a part of learning what our customers and the community are looking for,” said Brenda Sutherland, the Mercantile’s Proprietor. “We have been slowly but surely expanding our food offerings, and demand for Afternoon Tea keeps growing, so Sunday Brunch and Tea was the logical next step. Once we get Sunday going, we have some more fun additions for the Spring, as well.”

We will have to wait until Spring to see what other surprises they have in store, but for now the Mercantile is offering Sunday brunch from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. every Sunday. (The sole exception will be March 9 when they have a pre-booked private event).

No reservations required, except for Sunday Tea, which can be reserved here.
