Do you love unique and interesting items from all eras?

Then you simply must visit Lucite Jungle – it’s destined to become your most favorite place to find treasures for yourself and gifts of all kinds.

Conveniently located where Burien meets Normandy Park in the Manhattan neighborhood, Lucite Jungle is easy to reach in a pleasant shopping complex.

Come for a visit, and in the meantime, hear from Kindle herself about her fun and exciting venture:

“Hi, my name is Kindle. My family and I live in Des Moines.  We opened Lucite Jungle in the fall of 2024.

I have a passion for thrifting, interior design, unique gifts and upcycled items. Lucite Jungle is my first retail venture, but I’ve loved unique shopping experiences my whole life, including tag sales and rummaging through “junk” yards as a kid. I’ve long believed that with a little care/repair/cleaning, many 2nd hand items can be useful instead of landfill fodder. I also enjoy swanky shops with great customer service. I wanted to combine a 2nd hand shop with a high-end shop experience to create a fun environment where everyone and every budget is welcome. Luckily for me, my husband, Joel, has been a very supportive partner in this retail journey. Our motto is “Second hand but never bland”.

We think Lucite Jungle is the perfect cure for boring and impersonal online shopping. Our shop features an ever-changing selection of highly curated 2nd hand/found objects, plus new merchandise from smaller brands – many local to Washington State. We’re honored to carry items from the Upcycled Paper Co in Coupeville, Noir Lux Candle Co candles in Seattle and amazing photo works from photographer Robert LaSelle Chism in Federal Way. We don’t carry dusty or too precious, heirloom antiques – we want all well-behaved/potty trained humans/animals to feel welcome in our shop.

The community has been so supportive – we proudly display our “Best New Business of 2024” award from Discover Burien. We believe small businesses are the soul of any community. We’re your friends and neighbors. When the world feels out of touch, too busy, too cold – your favorite shop owner will always be happy to see you, chat and care.  As long as there are small businesses, you’re never alone.”
