Here’s a 4th of July fireworks reminder from the Normandy Park Police Department:
Fireworks can only be discharged within the city of Normandy Park from 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. on the 3rd of July and from 4:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. on the 4th of July.
Fireworks can only be lit on your own property or with the permission of the property owner.
You CAN NOT light off fireworks in any parks, streets, or public right of ways.
Any violation is a misdemeanor with a mandatory court appearance.
For the full rules and regulations see Chapter 7.32 of the Normandy Park Municipal Code.
A misdemeanor for fireworks? Really? NP used to allow fireworks from the 28th to the 5th, and NYE. Now they slap this on there too? They add more restrictions every year. Sounds like they are trying to phase them out entirely. Don’t let the party poopers win! The police have better things to do…
They should issue felonies for all you dummies that shoot off fireworks.
You must be fun at parties.
