City Manager’s Report
For week ending Mar. 27, 2021

Highline Forum. At the Highline Forum meeting this past Wednesday, representatives discussed future operating procedures and viewed a presentation on StART (delineated in a previous City Manager’s Report).

South King Housing and Homelessness Partnership. The Partnership, consisting of 10 South King County cities and King County, including Normandy Park, met Friday afternoon, reviewing a draft resolution discussing the formation of an advisory board to SKHHP that will comment to the board on issues relating to land and/or money resource allocation. The committee will have no authority and no entitlement to review.

Signing off weekly City Manager Weekly Reports. I’ve worked as a paid employee over 55 years, as a professional over 46 years, as an administrator over 38 years, and as a municipal official over 31 years.  April 7, the day before my 70thbirthday, is my last day.  Over those years, I’ve scraped, scrubbed, sanded, caulked, painted, varnished, bottom-painted, lesson-planned, taught, coached, disciplined, learned, strategized, budgeted, programmed, counseled, mediated, negotiated, managed, led, and built.  The skills, people and products of all that are by-and-large connected to me in some way every day, and I’m grateful for all those opportunities and experiences.  Enotices will continue normally after April 7.  City Manager’s Weekly Reports?  Until a new City Manager is appointed by the City Council, commits to a contract, passes a background check, and begins work, the City Manager’s Weekly Report will be on hiatus.
