The King County Sheriff’s Office is reporting of a suspected car prowler who torched a 2017 Audi in Normandy Park:

Car prowls are nothing new, unfortunately. But the ending to this prowler’s crime spree is one we didn’t see coming.

Early Wednesday morning, April 28, 2021, the suspect prowled multiple cars in the 18200 block of 1st Ave South in Normandy Park. Then, the suspect decided to add Arson to his repertoire. He used a match and automotive cleaner to torch a 2017 Audi sedan.

The 22-year old man was promptly detained, thanks to the quick response by officers.

Detectives with the King County Sheriff’s Office Fire Investigation Unit (FIU) responded to determine the fire’s cause and origin.

After interviewing the suspect, he was booked into SCORE Jail on multiple charges with additional charges likely pending as this investigation continues.
