Normandy Park City Manager’s Report for week ending Jan. 19, 2024
The Citizen Satisfaction Survey is now available for participation!
We work hard to provide the best services possible to Normandy Park residents. And we would like to hear from you about how we are doing. Your feedback will help us determine what areas and services are important to you! Please take a few minutes to complete this survey. Your input will help us to create a public action plan for any areas that need improvement or enhancements. This survey will help us prepare a report card to share with the public and will be a recurring activity. You can use this link or the QR code above to submit your input electronically.
If you have any questions, please get in touch with City Clerk Erin Smith at esmith@normandyparkwa.gov or 206.248.2848.
You’re invited: Learn about Salmon Surveys and Stream Science
The Community Salmon Investigation (CSI) for Highline has collected salmon data since 2010. Join them from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, January 24, 2024, at the Cove to learn about coho and chum salmon in our local creeks. How many adult salmon return to Miller and Walker Creeks each year? How many coho salmon die from polluted water before they have a chance to spawn? Visit the Miller-Walker salmon monitoring website for more information and annual updates. We hope to see you at The Cove.
Christmas Tree Recycling on Tuesday
All Normandy Park Waste Management customers can recycle their Christmas trees for free on January 23rd, 2024. Please follow the guidelines in preparing your Christmas tree for pickup:
- Christmas trees must be clean and uncontaminated (e.g., no tinsel, unflocked).
- Customers shall be required to cut the trees into sections no longer than four feet and place trees in Compostable Carts, wherever possible.
King County Library System (KCLS) Book Locker Ribbon Cutting
We are excited to announce that a ribbon-cutting will occur in front of the KCLS Book Locker on January 23rd, 2024, at 6:45 PM. Come and celebrate this excellent addition to the City of Normandy Park! We look forward to seeing you on January 23rd.
If you have any questions, please get in touch with me at aarrington@normandyparkwa.gov.
