King County Fire District #2 has announced its annual Holiday Outreach program, aiming to bring joy and support to 20 local families in need this holiday season – and they could use some help.
The program provides families with holiday food and gifts, made possible through generous community contributions and partnerships.
The Fire District will use monetary donations received through Dec. 20, 2024, to purchase food for the families.
This year, the outreach effort will once again receive a significant boost from TriMed Ambulance.
“TriMed has purchased all of the toys again for the fifth year year…amazing!” Captain George Stoess told The B-Town Blog.
Donations in the form of cash or checks can be delivered to Fire Station #28, the district’s headquarters, located at 900 SW 146th Street in Burien (map below).
Each year, the Fire District selects families within its response area through referrals from the Washington State Department of Social and Health Services. The program has become a cherished tradition, highlighting the community’s generosity and the Fire District’s commitment to serving its residents.
Community members interested in contributing or learning more about the program can contact Captain Stoess at 206-209-4103.
