Get ready for Light the Park

Decorate your home with festive lights and win an award for the best light display!

Normandy Park’s Light the Park was created to honor homeowners who provide a festive, bright display in the winter months. The Normandy Park Arts Commission, in partnership with the Friends of Normandy Park Foundation, will be on the lookout for fantastic light displays on Thursday, December 12th, from 7:00 – 9:00 pm. You can help spread the holiday cheer in Normandy Park by decorating your house for the holidays! Awards are limited, but we aim to give as many as possible. Be sure to keep your lights on in December and join the fun.

Next Storm Debris Pickup is Scheduled for December 10th

On Tuesday, December 10th, and December 24th, Single-Family Residence Customers in Normandy Park who subscribe to Yard and Food Waste pickups may include an extra 96 gallons of yard waste with regular quantities of Compostables without additional charge.

  • Yard Debris includes leaves, grass, prunings, branches, and small trees.
  • Bundles of Yard Debris up to two feet in diameter by four feet in length and no more than fifty-five pounds shall be allowed and secured by degradable string or twine, no nylon, or other synthetic materials.
  • Kraft paper bags or garbage Cans labeled “Yard Debris” may also be used to container extra Yard Debris.
  • Materials larger than four inches in diameter or four feet long are excluded.

Give your input on the proposed Sports Court Project at City Hall Park

The City Council has expressed its desire to build a sports court at City Hall Park, and they want to hear from residents. Once completed, there will be two pickleball courts on the north side of City Hall. In addition, this project will include refurbishing the southside basketball courts and transforming them into one updated basketball court with some additional parking spaces.

Residents are encouraged to attend the Tuesday, December 10th City Council meeting to share their thoughts on the project. The meeting starts at 7:00 pm, so we hope to see you there. Working together, we can make this a great project!
